  • The Galloping Horses

Our wonderfully decorative Galloping Horses, built in 1920 by Savages of Kings Lynn for the Tuby family of Yorkshire. Originally known as the "Victory Horses", because they were delivered soon after the conclusion of the First World War.

  • The 1930s Dodgem ride

Our 1930s Dodgems were the largest track to ever travel in the UK, and feature some stunning artwork by Hall & Fowle added in the early 1950s.

  • The unique 1939 Shaw's Moonrocket

New to our collection over the last two years, this thrill ride from the 1930's is unique. Experience rocket travel 1930's style and prepare to be surprised!

  • The 1940s Ghost Train

Our 1940s Ghost Train is a rare survivor, and the subject of a recent restoration project. The artwork is original, and by the well-know firm of Hall & Fowle, acknowledged masters of this craft.

  • The 1960s Vintage Arcade

Our 1960s arcade is an original example from the period and features a large collection of vintage slot machines from the 1940s-1980s.

Admission & prices

Welcome to our new one-level easy access Museum & Visitor Attraction. Since the pandemic we’ve been busy moving out of our old leaky buildings and into a new purpose built 25,000 sq ft Museum Hall to compliment our 25,000 sq ft Rides Hall. The Museum Hall now contains fantastic fairground art, our historic organs and lots of exciting new exhibits and displays and of course you can then go through to our undercover collection of working fairground rides.

Check out the attractions page for more details on the rides, you’ll also see we’ve added a new arcade area (with lots of machines operating on 2p that is ideal for pocket-money fun). For catering we’ve invested in a traditional fairground kiosk selling all your fairground favourites, and our temporary shop area is packed with toys and sweets as well as more grown up souvenirs.

We are open from Easter through to December and the February half-term. Pre-Booking is essential and our opening hours and prices are on our tickets page.
