Museum of Policing in Devon and Cornwall
The Museum of Policing in Devon and Cornwall is a registered charity engaging visitors with the policing history of the region. We have a fully accessible small museum in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Tavistock, displaying permanent exhibitions exploring the changes in policing in the region over the last 150 years to uniform, communications and equipment.
We have a huge archive of photographs and documents held in Exeter at the South West Heritage Trust, accessible by appointment, though some archive items related to people or crimes less than 100 years old are restricted due to data protection. Enquiries about the collection can be made via our contact email address or the archive site.
Admission & prices
The mini museum in Tavistock is currently closed for the winter, please keep in eye on our website or follow us on social media for updates on opening.
