Join experts from Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the University of Plymouth at The Box this half term to discover more about different aspects of our ocean and how to help safeguard it for the future.
Meet the Marine Park is a project in collaboration with Plymouth Sound National Marine Park to engage the people of Plymouth with our ocean. The project acts as a touring welcome centre for Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, allowing people to connect to its natural, historical, and cultural heritage.
Find out why certain sunscreens are harming marine life with Lotion in the Ocean: The effects of sunscreens in the sea, presented by Plymouth Marine Laboratory and University of Plymouth PhD researcher Anneliese Hodge. Activities from Anneliese will include:
• Sunscreen Special! Show and tell with pebbles.
• Sunscreen themed: puzzles, colouring in, word searches and through the maze game.
• Show and tell of the effects of sunscreen.
• Ocean friendly – top tips!
