Tavistock Museum
Tavistock Museum is a town museum which has permanent exhibitions relating to its monastic, market, and mining past. It is also a community museum and each year has new exhibitions relating to different community interests and organisations.
The Museum is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom give up a day each week of their time to steward.

Monday - Saturday (closed Sundays)
11.00am - 15.00pm
There is no entrance charge but a donation is requested.

The Museum is located in the centre of Tavistock. There is a small car park in Guidlhall Square. Other parking is available within walking distance.

A full range of facilities - including toilets, parking and refreshments - are available within a short walk.
Tavistock in West Devon has a busy Pannier Market (open daily except Sundays and Mondays) and superb riverside and disused railway walks.
It is located in Area 10a(ii) of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The Museum is a member of CMAMA (Cornish Mining Attractions Marketing Association).
The Museum is also a member of West Devon Museums Group.
