Tavistock Museum
Tavistock Museum is a town museum which has permanent exhibitions relating to its monastic, market, and mining past. It is also a community museum and each year has new exhibitions relating to different community interests and organisations.
The Museum is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom give up a day each week of their time to steward.

(April - end of October):
Tuesday - Saturday (closed Sundays)
11.00am - 15.00pm
There is no entrance fee but a donation is requested.
The Museum is Volunteer led and relies on its donations for support.

The Museum is located in the centre of Tavistock. There is a small car park in Guidlhall Square. Other parking is available within walking distance.

Small short stay (1 hour) car park with allocated parking spaces for the disabled nearby. Other facilities - including toilets and cafés within a short walking distance. Downstairs "mini-museum" for less-able, together with audio-visual information.

Located in Area 10a(ii) of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site theMuseumholds some excellent mineral specimens.
Tavistock Museum is a small but accredited Museum, gaining its accreditation in 2024. It is part of The Heritage Quarter of the town.
The Museum is also a member of West Devon Museums Group.
